Since signing on to the American College and University President Climate Commitment the University has reduced energy consumption by 19%, just one percent short of their 2015 goal.

The program has also brought back native prairies on campus (using native plants).

Students created a sustainability fees program that accrues over a million dollars a year for sustainability campus projects. It has also formed a revolving loan program for energy retrofits.

And the campus is on track to reach its 20% water reduction goal as well.
