As the father of an eight-year-old daughter, one of my most important jobs is to get my kid outdoors to enjoy nature and just “play”. This week, we will be featuring in The Green Minute ways you can “Get Kids Outdoors.”
Today’s Green Minute focuses on the games created by the winners of the 2012 CLIF Kid Backyard Games Contest. CLIF Bars, the makers of the wholesomely addictive energy bars and the CLIF Kids snacks has conducted a nationwide search for the best outdoor/backyard games created by kids. The winner of this year’s contest was a girl named Abigail from Albany, Oregon. The game was called North Pole/South Pole.
Check out the winners for the past two years here.
I can guarantee you, kids enjoy games created by kids. And most importantly, you will be getting them outside, enjoying the fresh air and environment around them.
