We are about to enter into August, and now more than ever sunscreen will be one of the most important items in your shopping cart.
According to the Environmental Working Group (EWG), the best sunscreen is a hat and a shirt. No chemicals for the skin to absorb, no questions about whether the product works.
But how do you choose the most eco-friendly and healthy sunscreen for those times when a hat and shirt are impractical?
The Environmental Working Group has released a 2012 Sunscreen Guide to help the consumer find the top rated sunscreens with broad spectrum (UVA and UVB) protection with few hazardous chemicals that penetrate the skin. Over 182 products have been analyzed and rated by EWG. Check out their list – and enjoy a safe summer.
