100_1530_optIf you live in the Eastern United States, one item that’s on every nature lover’s bucket-list is hiking at least a portion of the Appalachian Trail (in the West it is the Pacific Crest Scenic Trail).

For today’s Green Minute, we are featuring a fantastic infographic produced by HikingBoots.com that gives you 35 reasons to hike the Appalachian Trail (below).

Of course, if you can’t make it to the Appalachian Trail, find a trail in your local community. Hiking a local trail not only gets you in touch with nature, it creates memories with families and friends and it is good for your health.
