The Green Minute: Hiking the Appalachian Trail and Your Local Trail

100_1530_optIf you live in the Eastern United States, one item that’s on every nature lover’s bucket-list is hiking at least a portion of the Appalachian Trail (in the West it is the Pacific Crest Scenic Trail).

For today’s Green Minute, we are featuring a fantastic infographic produced by HikingBoots.com that gives you 35 reasons to hike the Appalachian Trail (below).

Of course, if you can’t make it to the Appalachian Trail, find a trail in your local community. Hiking a local trail not only gets you in touch with nature, it creates memories with families and friends and it is good for your health.     Awesome graphic. We really can appreciate the effort that you put into making this.
