Do This!

Environmental results of one month CFL (compact fluorescent) energy use:

7.2 kwh

6 pounds of coal burned

12.6 pounds of CO2

- Replace old incandescent light bulbs with CFLs

Not That!

Environmental results of one month incandescent energy use

24 kwh

24 pounds of coal burned

50.4 pounds of CO2

Bonus! Skip the CFLs and use light-emitting diodes (LEDs) to save even more energy and money.

As you can see – changing just one light bulb for one month can make a huge difference.
