NASA Finishes Greenest Building

NASA has just finished the “greenest” federal building in the US opening the NASA Sustainability Base in Mountain View, California.
The landmark  LEED Platinum building generates more energy than it consumes using photovoltaic array, a small wind turbine a Bloom Energy Box fuel cell.  The building also ultilizes a super efficient greywater recycling system (designed for the International Space Center) to cut water use by 90% compared to traditional buildings.
The building is designed by William McDonough  + Partners (http://www.mcdonoughpartners.com/) one of the leaders of the green architecture movement.
Check out a photographic slideshow of the complex here.
