Have you ever wondered what happens to broken mirrors, glass from windshields, windows, and bottles; porcelain from tiles, sinks, toilets, and pre-consumer sources; crystallized ash from industrialized furnaces; and stone scrap?
At least in one instance, those items are being used to make Cosentino’s non-porous stain, scratch-, and scorch-resistant ECO line of countertop surfaces that do not require a sealer.
ECO countertops are made from 75% recycled content (75% post-consumer recycled content for the “Revive” product line and 75% pre-consumer recycled content for the “Green” product line), and a polyester binder made from 22% corn resin oil.
Available in 10 colors, 2 textures, and 63” X 128” slabs as well as 12”, 18”, and 24” square tiles, ECO countertops are Greenguard Children and Schools certified for low emissions.

Cosentino and their Eco products are a favorite of mine – especially because of their low emissions and health safety features. The wide range of colors and patterns available are great for finding a solution in any style home.
