Want a little more control in your life? The Belkin WeMo is one of the coolest products for tech/sustainability enthusiasts and really for anyone who wants a little more control.

This product is in actuality a multi-part system that allows you to control anything that plugs into a wall via your iPhone!

The primary method of control is through a small unit called the WeMo Switch that plugs directly into the standard wall socket, then the device you want to control plugs directly into the Switch.

The Switch is then connected to your home wifi network and the device plugged into it becomes a remote control with the free WeMo app being the controller.

The WeMo system also works on the go so you can power up a heater or turn on the lights or your way home from work. You can also use this feature for things like making sure the coffee maker got turned off.

If that was not cool enough there is a secondary peripheral involving motion. The motion sensor can be mapped to control devices when someone enters, leaves, or occupies a room.

There are also other neat features involving email alerts upon motion, but the product is really so powerful that the only limitation is your imagination.
