Greenovations: Hunter Douglas Contract’s “BrightShelf”

As we all know, even the smallest green innovations to natural lighting can bring about not only energy savings, but a more pleasant and healthier home or office as well.

The Green Register has found such a Greenovation in the “Brightshelf,” an exclusive new lighting system from Hunter Douglas that seeks to turn daylighting into a high performance solution.

The exclusive Hunter Douglas lighting system is designed with an ogee curve to work with the sun catching light at different points as the sun’s angle changes throughout the year. The curved design helps diffuse light further into a room for a more ambient glow and evenly lit space, hence maximizing daylight and increasing energy savings.
